After a fantastic day of professional development with George Couros, I’m very excited about increasing my digital footprint. Working in education in the 21st century, is not about passing on knowledge of facts but about facilitating skill building so that students become lifelong thinkers, discerning users of information and useful citizens in the world. This means I have to keep learning; always adding the digital technologies to my teaching tool bag. That should keep me busy and away from (more) higher education for a while.
I’ve started with Twitter, to connect to other connected educators. There’s an about me page which I will use to direct the interested to this blog, YouTube contributions and anything else I or my students do which is worthy of sharing.
